Hello Mom!!

Mom, you're about the only one to be seeing this blog since we've kind of let it go for a long while. We've decided that you are about the only one that we're going to be doing this for because you want to see the videos and pics of the grandkids and what we're up to. So in no particular order here's a bunch of stuff that you may not have seen in the last 7 months, enjoy...

Ruby actually got this can stuck on her head for a while.

She ran around in this laundry basket for days.

Graduation was fun. This has to be one of the best pics of us both together.

Ruby got a bucket stuck on her bum.

Love it when grandma comes to town.

About every time we leave her in the back seat unattended.

He would sleep in his ironman stuff if we let him.

We love our new water slide.

Arg, a pirate face from who knows where?

Ruby and her bf neighbor Tommy in the doors at church being irreverent.

Emmitt @ Heritage park.

Emmitt and daddy date at the Bee's game.

Randomness.

Lorie and I got a kick out of our butch aviary trainer lady.

Patient kids waiting for the bird show to begin.

Watching the bird show. Pretty good shot w/o looking.

In here birds were able to fly all around and over us as we just watched them.

Ruby and bf Tommy watching a movie together.

Reading the BofM upside down.

She was reading the funny part of the book.

Waiting for fireworks at Stadium of Fire.

Waiting for tires at Costco.

Playing in a creek at Duck Creek.

?????

We lounged all day every day.

Ruby missing the point of ladder golf.

Her favorite past time of reunion.

Thinking about getting in the pool.

Awesome Ironman cake for his 5th b-day.

Eating @ Village Inn on his b-day, furthering grandma Alexander's tradition.

I don't think he smiles a normal smile ever, always cheesy.

All gussied up for the Art City Ball.

Random night out w/o the kids.

We love our grandma Lynn.

A great day.

Kind of a normal smile for once.

That is a bunch of my classmates and me.

Spring photos of the kids

Lorie modeling for a photographer friend for a "trash the dress" shoot.

Emmitt's preschool graduation.

Ruby in Nursery. Her teacher loves her and took this with his camera phone.

Little Poser

Picture day @ pre-school. How they got Emmitt to pose like this I'll never know. We've tried every time we take a picture and he never cooperates. And if he does cooperate he is always hamming it up.
Also, never mind the homely outfit, Lorie didn't send him off like this on picture day (heaven forbid it). Emmitt didn't tell us and we usually let him dress himself. Nor did we know that the pre-school sent the pictures home to preview before we had to buy until they asked for the $ to collect it. Freaking $18 bucks for some less than average pictures?!? RIP OFF!!!
Anyway, I'm over it. Life goes on.

Yes, ours is the one not looking at the camera, nothing new.

Seriously, how do they get him to do this?

There's the ham and cheese. That's my boy!

This year's family pics

These images are brought to you by aprilfphotography.com. She is our neighbor and does fantastic work. We especially love that she was willing to trade her services for Lorie's hair services. (still not sure who is getting the better deal here, Lorie is great at hair but April is amazing too at photography) I realize that I am the odd one out in these pictures when it comes to looks, but don't I have a lovely family? Man I lucked out in the wife department.

Life is going good and fast right now with family, school, work etc. At times Lorie and I only see each other for about 15 minutes a day, but I've been told that I am better in small doses anyway.

This one's for mom.

Just because I know that mom doesn't facebook I know she probably hasn't seen some new pictures of Ruby that were taken by a professional in our neighborhood. Thank you to April for your wonderful work.

She's walking!!!! She's a walker!!!!! (with a "What about Bob inflection")

It's a little bit like Frankenstein, but it's bipedal so it counts

This started out cute until Ruby ends up crying.

Notice the gentle push out of the way by Emmitt. I think he's not camera shy at all.
