Since we've been married we have done an official Family Home Evening...oh...idunno... lets just say a few times to avoid embarrassment. We always said that once our kids got old enough to understand better THEN we'd do better. Well here we are and we've officially started.
Last week we had a 'stag dance' and just turned on the radio, moved some furniture and started dancing. I know you are all imagining Lorie busting a move and looking good and then you think... "OMGosh does Asa dance?" NOPE! I proceeded to make an absolute fool out of myself. Of course I made sure not to have any video evidence so you won't find anything here. BUT, we did take advantage of perfect snow conditions today (it snowed overnight on Sunday- so no 'good' Mormons would dare sled last night and Monday is a school day so no little kids would get out before us and ruin the snow.) to go sledding.
It was Emmitt's first time, and yep Ruby took a turn too with Daddy (much to Lorie's disapproval). These videos are of Lorie's attempt to snowboard and Emmitt "sledding" on his bum. Enjoy!

Looks like lots of fun! I'm jealous about the snow, but only a tiny bit! And I hear you about FHE with little kids. It's hard! And now that Eli is old enough to listen and participate, Eva is rowdy and crazy and makes it hard for him to listen. Don't know if there will ever be optimal conditions for FHE!
Don't be jelous, it just barely started to melt and then *WHAM* we get hit with another 6".
FHE has mostly been geared toward the "play as a family" aspect thus far. We'll get into the serious gospel stuff soon. :)
Asa, This brings back memories of you in a green snowsuit much like Emmitts blue one and sledding on innertubes down the Hobble Creek park HUGE hill. Oh, only about 23 years ago!!! Glad to see that FHE traditions go on! What, no snowball fights?!!! Love, Mom
yer wife is hot, you know. and i l-o-v-e the one of you and emmitt trudging back up the hill, hand in hand.....
