BYU Fans.

I know I'm sort of brain washing Emmitt, but it's so cute. If you haven't heard him sing the cougar fight song then you haven't lived. Here's a video of him doing his favorite thing at the stadium... Still don't know if they got the first down or not?

Happy Halloween

It's been a while, but so much has been going on from tests at school to therapy sessions over BYU losing. (Thanks for the phone call Jason Swift!!!)

I decided the morning of Halloween to not be a stick in the mud and dress up, only problem is that I was limited to what was in my closet. I decided to dress up as a golfer. Boring I know, but it was still not too bad for work. The kids were adorable as ever and Emmitt was cracking us up as he started to understand what Halloween was all about. Emmitt was Dash from the Incredibles although he was dressed up earlier in his own rocker costume that he made up. And Ruby was a little teddy bear.

Rise and shout

More like sit and shiver. At least it didn't snow or rain on us like it was forecast to do. I swear the weather people are retarded here in Utah. They all get it wrong. But that is probably a topic for another day.

What a blast it is to go to BYU football games, even when you are 3 rows from the top it is still a great time. I don't think I've seen Emmitt like this since our Thomas the Train adventure or when we were at Disneyland. He was loving every minute of it (thanks mostly to Grandma giving him all of the attention and sugar he could handle). To prove we had a good time here are some pics...

Ruby Maxine Gardine's Blessing

It is always nerve-racking as a father to give your child their first blessing. I've never been long winded when it comes to blessings and my testimony, I guess because I want to get to the point and remove the "fluff" from story-monies and blessings. I never have understood why some people try to bless their child from birth to death with the "ideal" laundry list of what they should do in life (i.e. get baptised, go on a mission, find a mate and marry in the temple, raise children, etc.). Maybe I'm missing the picture but I try not to give a patriarchal blessing (although technically I am the "patriarch" in my family). I guess I just get tired of hearing "I'd like to bear my testimony..." type of fathers blessings. I guess if that is what the Spirit dictates then what can I say?

Anyway, for those of you who missed it we took some pictures of the get together we had after the blessing and posted them here. Thank you to every one who had a hand in the circle and thanks to those who couldn't make it but still remembered us in your prayers. Also thanks to those who have helped us in so many other ways (you know who you are:)

Cry baby.

For those of you who can't meet Ruby in person and hold her etc. we thought we'd at least upload some video for you. Lorie got some great footage of her crying, it's one of her first talents.
